Name of Assignment: Capturing a Moment Essay
Subject: English 100 Facilitator/Teacher: Professor Andaluz The Capturing a Moment essay was my first college essay. For this essay we had to write a personal narrative about a special moment in our lives. I wrote about my trip to Australia, specifically the city of Sydney. The 21st Century Skills that I associate with this project is Self-Directional Skills, as I had to plan out when I was going to write my essay and what I was going to put in it. I’m proud that it was my first college paper, and that I got 100% on it. This assignment probably helped because it wasn’t a high school essay, it was an actual college essay. Because of that, I wanted to make sure my paper was really good. (Even though I make sure all my papers, college or high school, are good.) Probably the fact that I had already written a whole draft of my essay, but when I submitted it, I lost the draft. I had to write a whole new one, and this happened on the day it was due, which was very stressful. I guess I would’ve had my draft saved on a google doc, just in case the website acted up and I lost my submission. In the past, I have learned that it’s always good to have a backup option in case your first option doesn’t work out. Usually I always ignored this piece of advice, and because I ignored it, something bad would always happen to my first set. I guess now it’s really ingrained in my head that I should always have a backup. |
