Name of Assignment: Comic Book Project
Subject: Chemistry Facilitator/Teacher: Mrs. S The assignment was to create a comic book that had at least two examples of both Physical and Chemical Changes. The comic book also had to be informational, yet creative. The skill I associate with this assignment is Thinking and Problem Solving, as I had to have a game plan in order to finish the assignment by its given due date. I’m proud to say that I think I turned in a good comic book. The story could’ve gone on longer, and the drawings could’ve been simpler, but it’s still pretty good. When it comes to school projects, I’m pretty productive. I can get through all my school assignments, yet I procrastinate when it comes to the big projects. For this project, I had a few distractions when working on the comic book. I had to think about what was going on around me, and then I had to use my problem solving skills to make sure that those distractions didn’t stop me from finishing my comic book. As I mentioned, there were quite a few distractions. First, I was moving from my current location, and I had to help my family, and second there were quite a few distractions, such as the tv being on, and helping my sister. Maybe I would’ve made the examples much more creative, and I probably would’ve made the descriptions of chemical and physical change more creative. As in, spreading them out through the story instead of having a whole panel dedicated to exposition. In the past, I’ve had the issue of going too big on a project that could’ve been left simple. I definitely went a little in over my head with this project, and it could’ve been a lot more simpler, maybe then the dialogue would be more natural instead of being an information dump. In the future, I will remember to do my best on a project without overwhelming myself, to be productive, and not procrastinate. |
